Not southern OH but central WV - plenty of deer here. They do seem to disappear during hunting season, though. We see them in the fields, on the driveway, in the yard, in the woods - everywhere! Until hunting season, then nary a sign of them.

Just go out and tell those varmits to get their tasty selves up to my property, 'cause I got an empty freezer!

Maybe we'll see more as the season wears on. I hope!

always see them

when we go to the shooting range to practice. YOu would figure with all that noice they would have the sense to stay away?

My neighbor's dogs have always been an asset- they used to roam free. I could count on them to keep all the varmits away - including deer. However, after an argument with another neighbor (the useful dogs killed a house dog...) now they are penned. I hope the deer don't notice....

Deer are tastier! at least I think so! I do agree, you have a terrible infestation, and if I lived a 'mite' closer, I'd help rid you of the vermin!

We have more here than you can shake a stick at. I can see four does most mornings eating the fallen apples in my yard. I bet those will be particularly tasty critters.

We are in a CWD zone, but there is no shortage of them at all.

what tiny deer! I measured the tracks of a big doe in the front meadow and the tracks are 3 inches wide and 4 inches long

( I do not hunt..It would take me a long, long time to eat a whole deer)..but a backstrap and a rear quarter would be nice.)

Yesterday I checked the back hay field, on the golf cart so I knew i would not be seeing any deer but I saw many deer beds. So I surmize we have no shortage of deer here.

There are definitely no shortage of deer around us, they're even opening a special hunt in a St. Pats park to thin the deer out. They're becoming animal weeds LOL

I have a doe who leaves her two fawns right behind my house, so I see them every day. Normally I can count on seeing the doe, her fawns an what looks like a yearling buck.

Today though, I went out back and there were two bucks fighting! I love to watch them. But then the dog came around and scared them off, I only counted 9 deer running off, but think there were more in the group.

My deer disappear during hunting season too, I sure would like to find their darn calendar and tear it up, lol, maybe dh would get something

Nobe County Ohio (east)...deer are everywhere. My friend's son is a bow hunter. He brought his six year old son out to my place two different evenings. (This was last May). From the lake to my place is just under two miles. He and his boy counted over one hundred deer for the two round trips.
