In Ohio it is also legal to shoot home invaders. Not legal to shoot poachers. Bummer.

I dare ya to try and steal my Thanksgiving turkey.

Support the castle law doctrine in Ohio.... The Legislation introduced in the Senate as SB184 and in the House as HB264

The best advice so far on this thread has been to do whatever you have to do, but don't talk about what you do.

My personal experience has been that regular target practice at paper targets, especially rapid fire drills, that make the reports echo off the surrounding hillsides for a bit sends the message to stay clear of an area.

Another way to make things interesting for the trespassers might be to put in a trench or ditch around three sides of the pond and have a farmer, or you, fill it to the brim with fresh turkey manure and water. Or have fresh turkey manure put on your field area between the road and pond. The ammonia in the turkey manure will clear the sinuses of the trespassers and it will permeate clothing and footwear so that someone getting it on themselves will stink for awhile.

I'd spray paint their vehicle with big pink and purple pokadots before placing some big common nails in front of and behind all four tires.
