Yes a real donkey! LOL We've sold him since that pic was taken, he was too mean with the other animals. We do still have our female donkey and her 8 month old son, we named Charley.
We didn't have any cross fencing then so the animals were all over the property, we fenced around our house to keep them at bay.

Mammajohnson, I can't believe you're in Texas, it almost looks like here!

I love to see everyone's places, animals and gardens. MO looks beautiful. And Pheasantplucker, your home is wonderful! Love the fish.

Thanks...the fish was a leftover plank...I cut it rounded it, and nailed a few flattened tin cans on it for fins...

Thnx for all the compliments! We are in the northeast corner of Texas, it is the most beautiful part of Texas, as far as I am concerned!
I always wanted a log house, but looks like the mobile will have to do, since we inherited dad's place, and that is what he had put there.

Actually, our woods are so dense we have to clear trees to do anything. Makes it pretty labor intensive out here. We even sold lumber a few years back, and still have trouble with too many trees!
But, I shouldnt complain, it is better than living in a cow pasture!

It is quite easy to build with the star plate kit from strombergs. it is a very strong structure and went up in just a couple of days of working on it. I also just wanted something a little different

home is where the heart is,, everyone has really nice places. Doesnt matter how big or small, brick , wood, vinyl siding,, its the people inside that make a home not the materials used to build the structure. I'd show you mine but dont know how to put it on here,
