I went to grade school in York, and Kittery for four years. I learned how to ice skate and play hockey with friends, on a pond out back. Went fishing for flounder off shore. I lived there through most of sixth grade. This was in the mid sixties. My dw and I were in Kittery and surrounding area for two days, in the late eighties. I have to admit that the amount of traffic and tourists, was so much more than I remembered. But, my memories were through a childs eyes. Next time we go to Maine, we want to go back to Kittery for a day or so. Then head north, up the coast to see parts of the state, we've never been to.
