Hot Pink Duct Tape.

We use hot pink duct tape to put ankle bracelets on fresh cows that are still producing colostrum. When those cows enter the milking parlor, everybody on the farm automatically knows their milk is to be diverted from the milk tank and put in buckets for the pigs.
If we have an area where cows have been going thru a field entrance, and then we put up an electric wire to keep cows off that area for rest & regrowth, we will take 6" pieces of hot Pink or Bright Yellow duct tape, fold it over wire and form 3 " long "flags" so cows can see wire and don't crash thru it at night.
Duct Tape also holds the grain feeding leg in position and seals any grain leaks in the auto feeding system.
Yes, Duct Tape Rules.

Yeah, we use duct tape a lot too. Fresh or treated cows get red ankle bracelets. Dry cows get yellow. Cows with a bad quarter or signs of mastitis get green! Blue means she needs an Oxytocin shot. Also very handy for leaky augers, pipes, etc!
