Yes but because of last Jan. ice storm next couple of Springs we are going to see record wild fires.

Holy cow what a year. Listening now on the scanner to mandatory evacs due to a fire that, when first reported, was two acres and is now 200 or more and racing in the span of two hours. There's an edge in the voices of the responders.

I've lost count of how long it's been since rain but I think we're at 7+ weeks. The fuel moisture is reportedly 6~9% so when something starts it roars from the git-go. Lightning and high winds forecast for Thursday.

Fire guys are saying they're seeing fire behavior they've never encountered before due to current forest conditions. I think this fire season will rewrite the books on that subject.

Other than that and the London fog wafting through the yard it's a fine day in Montana.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in the fire areas. We've been there so we know what you are going through. I glad we've had a good fire year and our firefighter have been availible to send south.
