Who is checking their stock tank at night on an unlighted landing strip? How does he see to get down (full moon?)? Right here on the Canadian border with NY there is very little general aviation anymore since 9/11, and I don't know of any GA pilots who ever did much night flying, anyway. I'd sic the FAA on them, anyway, just to be sure. If they are legal then it's no problem to them.

and now a musical interlude from the right Rev. Horton Heat;
Bales Of Cocaine Lyrics
Artist: Reverend Horton Heat
Album: Holy Roller
===============================
Well, I was workin' on my farm 'bout 1982,
Pullin' up some corn and a little carrot, too
When two low-flying aeroplanes, 'bout a hundred feet high
Dropped a bunch o' bales o' somethin', some hit me in the eye...

So I cut a bale open, an' man was I surprised
Bunch o' large sized baggies, with big white rocks inside
So I took a little sample to my crazy brother Joe
He sniffed it up and kicked his heels, said, "Horton, that's some blow!"

Bales of cocaine, fallin' from low-flyin' planes
I don't know who done dropped 'em, but I thank 'em just the same!
Bales of cocaine, fallin' like a foreign rain
My life changed completely by the low-flyin' planes

So I loaded up them bales in my pick-em-up truck,
Headed west for Dallas, where I would try my luck
I didn't have a notion if I could sell 'em there,
But, thirty minutes later, I was a millionaire...

Bales of cocaine, fallin' from low-flyin' planes
I don't know who done dropped 'em, but I thank 'em just the same!
Bales of cocaine, fallin' like a foreign rain
My life changed completely by the low-flyin' planes

And now I am a rich man, but I'm still a farmer, too
But I sold my farm in Texas, and bought a farm down in Peru
And when get so homesick, I think I'm goin' insane,
I travel back to Texas in a low-flyin' plane...

Bales of cocaine, fallin' from low-flyin' planes
I don't know who done dropped 'em, but I thank 'em just the same!
Bales of cocaine, fallin' like a foriegn rain
My life changed completely by the low-flyin' planes

Faa

I would start with the FAA at the 30 mile away airport IF it is manned. They control the air space or should.

Next notification should be local authorities or if you are positive they are landing on the sate property then state authorities that have jurisdiction over the property.

It's probably nothing serious. Get the N-number and look up the registry info here:
http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinqu...um_inquiry.asp. That will give you the registered owner and their address...somewhere to start.

They don't and shouldn't. Controller airspace around the largest US airports only touches the surface within a 5 mile radius of the airport. At 30 miles they would at best only care about 8000 to 10,0000 feet up. (Atlanta being an exception at 11,000, and SoCal being weird)

I forgot about this web site yesterday:

http://map.aeroplanner.com/mapping/chart/smartchart.cfm

If you put the Lat/Long (or zip code) of your house in you can see the charts around you. The do show some back country airports, and some private airport if the owner decides to list it. Here it shows about 1 out of every 4.

I'm sure Congress made both illegal about a year ago.
Glassing........ Yeah, yeah, I was using a mirror... yeah, that's the ticket... cause all I have around here is broken mirrors...
