Hey.

The quality/reliability of Maytag has fallen off in the last couple of years.

I love my Fisher Paykel.. It will dry a load as fast as the washer will wash a load.. Due to the high spin speed of the washer.

Fisher Paykal

I would have to ditto his post about washing and drying times. I have witnessed the spin cycle on this washer, and I swear, the clothes are nearly dry before they leave the washer! Not sure about reliability, but I would put them on my list as possibles!

We own a Whirlpool front load.....have been impressed with it and have had no problems with it. And we do lots and lots of laundry....and it keeps performing!

I know a number of people who have Staber machines and really like them. They have a horizontal axis tub, like a front loader, so they are very efficient with water and energy, but they are a top loader--have a door in the side of the tub. We use a 30+ year old Maytag wringer washer, have looked at new machines for years but haven't spent the money on something else yet.
