My place is 10 acres with only a mobile home and no other outbuildings or livestock right now, and I have farm exemptions from the local government. So the bureaucrats consider my place a farm. That is what I call it too.

That solves it! You are officially "farming"

I had a good long reply to all the post but my fingers got type happy and my post vanished so I will make it short and just tell you all that it has been fun reading all of your replies. Thanks for all of your post!

No, I don't own a large piece of property to call a farm, instead I have a small piece of property and have the animals and the chores to prove it is a farm. I guess I can call it a farm if I want to since I have been paying for it with blood, sweat, musclepower and money.

Oh George, growing up in the Northeast you should know that if your not milking 50 plus head of cattle that is not a farm Any other place in the country anything can pass for a farm or micro farm, but nor'easterners are real strict about what can be called a farm. My wifes family has 500 plus acres of farm that has not been farmed in 50 plus years and are not allowed to call it a farm anymore, even though the sugar maples make all the tax money every year.....its just a very large camp now with some maples and hay fields.
