When you do this, what amount of the liquid would you use for a cup of tea, and for sweetening a half gallon of tea? I know the extracts I purchase use only a few drops, but I would assume you use a lot more of this.

If you want to try a "healthier" sweetener, try Xylitol. It's low glycemic and has fewer calories,so better for diabetics. It also has antibiotic and antiviral properties. It tastes exactly like sugar but it's a lot more expensive.

Halfpint, I just experiment as each batch is a little different and varies as to how big the handful is. Usually 1/2 a teaspoon does it for me. Daryll in NW FLA

Stevia

I went to Smith's Vegetable Market, a local store, and noticed that they now carried small bottles of liquid stevia. Each bottle came with an eye dropper lid.

What most intrigued me was that there were different flavors added to select from. Since I wasn't interested in flavored stevia I didn't even glance to see what flavors there were, sorry.
