The REAL Pony! Pics
Ivy showed me the fantastic pics of the event, and it was fun to remember all the joy from the brief time we shared!
I was, however, surprised to see such a sour Pony! posted to the thread! I'm sure with all the cameras flying about that there MUST be a better pic or two of her! So, in lieu of their arrival, I present to you, the REAL Pony!.

No, no no! That's not the one... hang on...
...
Okay, HERE it is.

Yes, that's SO much better! Just so you all know she's not such a grimace, or anything like that.
Nick

We were able to attend for only a few hours Saturday but won't make that mistake again! We'll make much more time next get together.
What a great outing. Those of you on the fence about attending, I urge you to do it!
Paul and Cyndi are outstanding hosts and will make you immediately comfortable, just as everyone else there did.
Thanks to Cyndi and Paul and we are very happy to have met you all!!!
Here are a couple pics of Paul in his element:

Cameras just aren't very kind to me -- or maybe that's just what I tell myself!
Nick took those pictures of me a few months back for the practice's web site. (No, they did not post the one of me sticking my tongue to my nose... come to think of it, though, it could help!)
He is so sweet and dear! I think he wants the world to see me the way he sees me...
Pony!
ETA: Did Nick take out the tongue to nose pic? Pity. I thought it showed my best side. LOL!

Oh, it looks like y'all had SUCH a good time.
How in the world do you orchestrate such an event?
I'd throw up from the stress.

Who orchestrates it?!?!?
The motto of the weekend is "We don't have a plan and we're sticking to it!"
It has worked for 3 years now and gets bigger every year! You can't be shy about what you want to learn or teach.
Madame wanted to learn to make soap, but the kitchen counters were never cleaned off enough and with the children running around, it just wasn't safe - so we taught spinning instead!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I arrived late in the evening on Saturday and so stayed over. The leaves on the trees played a melody like wind hitting the tops of the trees in a canyon. (imagery here---not reality, altho the sound of the wind hitting the Mullerslane's trees leaves is very real!)
At night only the sound of the trees could be heard. It was so refreshing! However, at about 5 am the roosters sounded along with the peacock. For some reason after 5 minutes of crowing---all was quiet until 6 am. Then they started up and soon the sparrows joined them and....you could barely hear the leaves on the tops of the trees anymore. Although the peacock has a distinctive call, I really enjoy it!!
I agree with Cyndi, it is so relaxing watching what is going on instead of being on a tight schedule of demonstrations. Also, perhaps some of the demonstrations left undone can be done at the Wisconsin 'N Due Time gathering coming up in July.

Cyndi just loves having people around, and homesteading types are the best sort of folks for this sort of thing. Just add water and stir.
It was sooooooooooooooo nice! Nick and I always have a hard time when we hit reality on the way back home from Cyndi and Paul's (usually starts with the strip malls, followed by the mushroom housing developments, and the ubiquitous identical chain stores and malls...)
We've done a lot with our little suburban hunk o' land, but it's stifling. Being out at Muller's is like breathing fresh air!

I agree! We have a few acres and 5 kinds of critters, and dd wanted to stay with Paul & Cyndi because they have more kinds than we do! Let's see, she says we need ducks, and bunnies, and peafowl, and a cow, and more chickens, and pigeons, definitely pretty pigeons! And a spinning wheel. And a bigger garden. And soap. DD can hardly wait for her bar of mint eucalyptus to cure so she can use it. She's already asking when we can go back to Muller's, and can she bring her friend Amber? I'm asking when we can go back to Muller's, and can I get DH to come with? Sigh. Such a fun weekend!

Clover (and all), you're more than welcome to come - just give a call first to make sure we're home (which is any time we're not some where else!)
We'd love to have Amazing G bring Amber with her.
Pony, YOU & NICK are our breathe of freash air! (as well as David and RCrew & NDueTime & & & &!)
I tell folks when they get here, they're only 'guests' for 30 minutes.

Cyndi,
Your welcome. Did you find someone to do your chores so you can come the the Wisconsin homesteading get together?
BTW I know Paul did the leafy outside of your bathroom light fixtures, but who did the wiring for your bathroom light fixtures?
Thanks,
Cathy S.

Cathy,
The light fixtures were bought. Paul blacksmithed the towel holder & TP holder with the leaves. He is working on drawer & door pulls using the same leaf design.
He renovated the bathroom (plumbing, electrical, floor, et al) himself. After all, he is a professional handyman!

It looks like you all had a really good time. The pictures are great! I've never met any of the folks in them, but they make me want to drive over from Indiana next year to hang out with you all.
