Blue

KincoraFarm, did you know that the BCS two wheeled tractors and attachments are almost Ford tractor blue? Sure makes a nice addition to work the garden and yard with.

I have also found that a number of implements that are orange go well with the blue too.

I currently own a 1720 Ford which is smaller in physical size than your tractor. Real work horses, Henry would be proud.

You folk did a great job with tractor selection. I have run a 2000 before and they are a sweet tractor.

congrats! I have been using my neighbors Ford 600 for the last week ploughing and discing and brush hogging and moving stuff with the front end loader. After spending some time in the seat doing stuff easier and faster than with too small equipment I don't know how I ever got along without a farm tractor. Power steering is handy with a loader, the one I use doesn't have it and my arms doubled in size in the last week. Be safe with it!

nothing wrong with a gas model! we bought ours because it was gas, as they start easier in the winter! if you do get a loader make sure its a quick attach and ballast the loader when in use, front ends can be kinda weak. for general pasture clipping a sickle bar mower does a nice job, can be faster too and mows sides of roads safer.

Our 1965 Ford 3000 was "Old Blue." He's no no longer with us. (Note to self and others: Never buy an old tractor from an old rancher. If he's had enough of it, so will you, soon. It took me a while to realize that I was spending more time under it or under its hood than driving it)

Our 2004 New Holland TN 65 is "Big Blue."

Our 1949 Ford 9N project is "Henry."

Congrats, Stacy!

Ford Major- even tho it's a gas engine it has an engine heater, is that odd? My brother has the sickle attachment for his Farmall but he has a long driveway to clip.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, we are very happy with our purchase!

LOL, Ruth! I've never heard that song! I'm gonna download it for my husband.

We just bought a tractor too. It's being delivered tomorrow. It's a Ford 9N. I'll post my own thread then.

Here's a picture of DH and his BlueBelle tooling around the pasture. They're still getting used to each other. Notice the multiflora rose in the background...that's why we bought BlueBelle and need a rotary cutter.

Congrats.

Perhaps the tractor could have TWO names, kind of like show animals do...one on paper and the other that you cal lit every day.

My dear wife has stated I am getting a tractor for my birthday,of course I will have to wait until December...

Well I 'hint', in a very sneaky way..."If ONLY I had a tractor I could do this much better"...

I think it might be sinking in...or annoying her.

My Birthday is right after Christmas so I either get my presents all rolled into one or I get big presents at Christmas and something smaller for my Birthday.

So is mine...and I refuse to accept "combination" presents or birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper. It's a rule! I'm an adult! Birthdays are important too! Keep 'em separate!

I'm New Years Eve BD, No Christmas paper for me either, and there had better be a party going on somewhere on my birthday!

DH's birthday is the middle of December- I never wrap his presents in Christmas paper.

Oggie,

They only made 9Ns from 1939 to 1942. Sure it isn't either a 1939 or perhaps you have an 8N?
