Now it's Raspberry jam or Raspberry and Jalepeno jelly.

When I lived in the Pacific Northwest it was mountain blackberry. Nothing can top that one.

You need two blueberry bushes of different cultivars to get a decent amount of berries.

Orange jelly made from frozen concentrate. Spread on toast and it tastes as if the butter is already on the toast.

When I was growing up my Mom used to make blackberry, as well as spiced pear jam. Wish I had some of that spiced pear now!

Last year I had so much fun.... red raspberry, white raspberry (well thought of), blackberry, hot pepper (with jalepeno's and various bell peppers from the garden - VERY yummy on Ritz crackers with cream cheese!), Peach, Peach/habenaro, Plum jam with a box of little yellowish plums (surprisingly good), blueberry (Alton Brown's recipe from Good Eats - quite nice), sweet cherry (made from some leftover cherries - yummy!) Basically, whatever looked good at the farmer's market when I went, what grew in our garden and what people gave me!

This year, I'm going to buy a cherry pitter and cherries just for jam making. More peach, both sweet and hot. I planted a gooseberry and currant bushes, but it will be a couple of years, I'm sure. We have raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb too. I think the apple trees are going to fruit this year, so that gives me applesauce and apple butter by the gallon...

Loganberry jelly or jam. It tastes like several berries all combined. I've picked from the same patch since I was a kid. They make great pies too.

Now take a couple slices of pepper jack cheese, ham and smoked turkey layer them up on your bread. take your sandwich and dip it into egg and fry it in a pan.

My all time fav that I make is loquat-peach! Loquats are ready here usually in April so I save them in the freezer until the peaches come in. Loquats are also called yellow plum, but they are from Asia, and diff. people here on the barter board sometimes sell the seedlings. ldc

I love all jellies!

last year I made a Lemon Basil Jelly. This year I'm going to experiment with other herb jellies.

Of the fruits, it's strawberry or apple or grape or apple-mint or spiced pear or vanilla pear or peach.

Apple jelly with dried apple bits in it, or quince jelly with dried orange bits in it....I throw in the bits when I am cooking the jelly.

I don't think I've ever tasted anything as wonderful as the delicate flavor of quince jelly...Hard to make, but worth every minute of effort. I need to see if I can grow quince here. I haven't had a quince tree since I was a kid living in California.

I made a great condiment for indian curry the other day...chopped canned apricot mixed with hot garlic chili sauce. That would be a good jam too.

Black currant-blackberry jam. I like that even better than the blackberry, which I love.
