Yesterday afternoon at 1:00, I filled the tank at the cheapest (!) station around here: $3.48. On the way home from work at 9:00 p.m., the same gas at the same station was $3.59.

Now what in the sam hill went on between the hours of 1 and 9 to make the gas go up 11 cents??? Of course, it was the same thing that made gas go up more than a dollar over the past 2 months:

Greed.

When are we as a country going to wise up and STOP USING SO MUCH GAS??? It's very frustrating to be one of the few who are restricting the use of fossil fuels by riding people-powered vehicles (bikes and walking), limiting trips, tuning the engine, et al.

Especially when those SUVs (Suburban Uh-ssault Vehicles) try to run your bicycle off the road.

Idiots.

Pony!

My hours at work will be changing soon and with a good bit of bike riding, the busses here have bike racks I will be able to take the bus to work. It will require a good bit of bicycling to but will save alot over a month and my health will improve to boot.

Just heard on the news that Michigan has the second highest gas prices in the nation, right behind Hawaii. Sure wonder what makes us so special, our economy is the worst in the nation, the auto industry is closing down more plants, and our state government doesn't seem to be able to get its' act together and agree on a budget, now they are talking more taxes. High gas prices will slow down the tourism and recreation use in the state for the summer too. Young people are heading out of state for work. Sure hope something gives pretty soon or there isn't going to be many of us left in the here. Wait . . . maybe that would be a good thing.
