Gas is $2.89 here in West Virginia. Groceries are up. At Sam's I paid almost $3 a gallon for milk. That's about a dollar more than usual for this area. I'm finding good grocery prices at Kroger. They mail out coupons for twenty dollars of a purchase of two hundred dollars or more or twenty dollars off when you use their pharmacy for a new prescription, etc. I can use the coupons feeding seven. I realize that gas prices affect food because the food is trucked. Do gas prices affect food prices also because of petroleum based plastic packaging that food (i.e. milk) comes in?

In Louisville, KY on Friday I paid $3.19 a gallon. Today it has gone down to $2.97. Usually every Friday it jumps up in price again, just in time for the weekend trips.

Yes, I have planted and am still planting a bigger garden this year.

I just filled up my van, $3.06 cheapest around had to wait in line to get gas, most of the stations are running $3.15 for regular unleaded. Sure wish it would go down some.

We are planting a large garden, and we will can and freeze more than usual this year.
Prices at our local groceries and even the discount groceries are really going up.

I'm in WV also, Gilmer/Ritchie/Calhoun counties (not in a town). Gas in Glenville was 3.09/3.19/3.29 last time I got some. GoMart and Sunoco.

I checked out gas buddy and it showed your county (Monongahelia, I know I spelled that wrong!) and Berkely counties the lowest in WV. I wish we had a Sheetz down here, the first one when I drive to visit family is exit 99 on I79. I always have to stop and get a capuccino

$3.09 for regular 87 octane. Northern Minnesota. It's gone up considerably in the last week and a half.
