"Here" is just northwest of Russellville. Time wise from here to Buffalo Point is about 2 hours. Fayetteville to here is about an hour and a half. Think about it or perhaps on the way back. Would love to see you. I'll give you a buzz this evening.

Had a blast, as usual! Warm days, cool nights, perfect! There was still enough water in the Buffalo to have a good swim.

LaDonna, we agree. We're bitten by the powwow bug also and we'll co-ordinate again after our two recent wonderful experiences. And with your 5 weeks of vacation next year, we hope you'll head west with us to Yellowstone and the Pacific northwest. The whole time during our vacation to the four corners area we were thinking "Jeez, wish LaDonna was here to capture all this with her skill with a camera!"

As my reception on the boards here has waned, and as the instigator of the Buffalo River Homesteaders Homecoming Picnic (Shelia's title) I wonder if our absence from the 6th annual spring camp out might increase the attendance.

Dennis, I know we aren't one of the "always regulars" but I assure you that your presence was not the reason we don't attend when we don't. It just doesn't work out time wise. We enjoyed your company at the events we have attended. So I think you should just stop that silly thinking and start planning on attending the "6th annual spring camp out."
And on another note, since you guys enjoy the PowWow experience I would like to invite you to attend the Pinnacle Mountain Rendezvous on Pinnacle Mt., just out Maumelle October 20-21. It's not per se a "PowWow, but there is a very strong native american presence, and the dancing is always wonderful.
We will be buckskinning, not native american, but would love to see you guys and LaDonna there.

Grams, thank you much for thinking of us. LaDonna, Don and I were looking at powwows.com and thinking specifically of that venue!

Dutchie, just sent you a p.m. about all our undies being stained red and full of sand by swimming in Keystone. But maybe we could do a semi-annual, gathering like minded Okies??

Grams I saw the Pinnacle Mtn rendevous on the powwow site...I was thinking maybe of going down for a day. My sister lives just south of Russellville....so I'd have a place to land for a bit...My only thing is that I would only be able to do saturday, as I have a paying photo job on Sunday...not sure what time just yet....
Dennis, I think that it was just a rare convergence of too many things going on at the same time for too many people....I for one, do NOT want to see you guys not be there....and yes, I do think we ought to plan for a 6th spring picnic...I may post a thread to that effect shortly........

Dennis, in the plans for the 6th Annual Spring Buffalo River Get Together, simply ask those interested what are the things that you would like to take place that would most likely motivate someone to attend, and what are the things that would most likely keep you from coming -- and then work on making it possible for as many to be motivated as possible

Of course, also ask for as much help as possible, and stand back and let it happen

Hugs,
Marlene

Corky, since I know you've been looking for me I realize that it was not asked in a manner of "what the heck are you thinking?" but literally...."Where have you been?" .... Hopefully, our p.m.'s have cleared up "I've been right here."

But then maybe....this mentality of ours (your's and mine) is one of those things which would motivate people to not be in the same company as ourselves???

Hugs,
Marlene

I haven't made a campout lately, but I would miss seeing you guys there. I'm in the middle of figuring out what direction my life(with work) will be going now, but once things settle down, I look forward to seeing you at the campouts.

As soon as things are a bit more settled with FourDeuce/Husband, hopefully, I'll be ready to be of help in planning the spring get together.

Ya'll do know if Corky and I were not harmless, LaDonna and Don would not be so brave about posting rolling heads laughing and dancing banannas right??? Okay, maybe a couple of harmless practical jokes, but nothing dangerous okay.

Marlene

I am not dangerous though I may be a little crazy.

We are headed out to find apples in SW Mo.

If you remember the ice storm this past Spring you will understand.
