Wish this thread had been here about a year ago. I had folded towels off the clothesline and put them away. A COUPLE of days later, I was drying my hair after a shower and got stung on the top of the ear. I was congested, coughing etc for over a week after that, plus it just plain hurt!

I got stung a couple weeks ago by a wasp. Hurt like the dickens. I used baking soda and water and left it on for about an hour. I didnt even swell up or itch. I guess that means Im not allergic.

Chewed tobacco or baking soda paste works great on stings.
For burns, apply snow water. Collect it in a mason jar from the first snow of the year. That will take the fire out of a burn.

No sympathy from me. Every wasp within 200 miles of here is still frozen and comatose. If it's warm enough to get stung your spring has sprung!

Apple Cider Vinegar! I don't remember where I got this tip, but I have used it on all kinds of stings including scorpion stings and it works. My son even got stung by a whole nest of yellow jackets under a slide all over his legs, we rushed him into the house and doused his legs in Apple Cider Vinegar and five minutes later it was like the incident never happened. On the scorpion stings it didn't take out all the pain, but it greatly reduced it. I am never w/o at least a couple of bottles of it around all the time.

Make a paste with asprin and if applied as soon as stung it works well. Just try not to get stung. Good luck Sam
