LOL---Jesse----It is hanging on the wall-----Because I am not using this one at this time---Soon. But you got the right idea. I just hung it in the chicken pen on something overhead like a limb/brace etc. It is very varment proof--I do have a Cover around the other ones where you can't see the motor etc. It does take a timer and a timer circuit--some pressure switches a battery etc to make it work and some time(not real simple to build). I built it as a proto-type to see how it would work with the thought of hooking it to a 55 gallon barrel for the deer corn---It makes hardly no noise, but I then built one using the electric door lock actuator and it seem to work better, but I ended up pouring corn on the cob on the dirt for the deer and not using a feeder this last season--LOL, but it was fun to build. I mainly use these feeders when I am going to be going camping for several days----I have a automatic water system(yea I built it too) so if I go camping I don't have to worry about my animals. My Sister can stop by and collect the eggs, but I don't have to ask/bother her to feed and water them-----I always say-----Hey Sis---You need some Free Eggs---She always says Yes---I say well for the next few days(while I am Gone)stop by the chicken pen and get them all. OK---Hope you better understand!! Randy

I built a Manual Feeder that looks similiar to a old tobacco barn I mainly use. It holds about 8 gallons of feed(easy to build bigger). I guess you want to see it??? I feel I posted enough!! LOL

What I did was use a timer circuit to move the panels every couple hours. It had to be adjusted "every now an then" by turning one knob. I been thinking about buying a Solar Cooker----When I do I will build a tracker for it and I will think about your Offer. I like to do as many projects as I can using dis-card/recycled things-----Guess I am Cheap---Naw---Just Like to "Play". Randy

I took some flour I had, some yeast, some water and a few other things and turned them into an inedible doorstop. Does that count?

Hi All;
Fireman;WOW you are a genius. Your recycled projects are absolutely amazing!
Agmantoo; I love your recyled projects also.
KUDOS to you both, you are incredibly brilliant and creative. I saw the photos and read your posts but there is NO WAY I could duplicate what you both have done. You are both a real asset to this forum and embody the homesteaders spirit. I hope you both continue to post and it would be great when you start a project if you would post sketches and daily or weekly updates, with photos.

I had a time making one smaller after I had already posted it--I had to delete it-- posted another pic then reposted the other on another thread after I resized it. You know how to resize the pic in the photo bucket don't you?? Randy

Why don't you just delete the Big Pic above until you get the picture's redone---Then we will not have to scroll the page side ways to read. Randy

[QUOTE=Fire-Man]OK---No one else is posting--so A Couple More here.

so i'm nobody? just kidding

i like the tractor, and the feeder. i made one out of a 5 gallon bucket once, but my ladies prefer just the bowl.

i actually had a "critter" tractor for my guinea pigs, yea, guinea pigs. a gift from a well meaning friend. it worked the same way, but guinea pigs leave a concentrated urine in the soil, which eventually kills it. (learned the hard way)

i wish i had started my girls in a tractor. they are spoiled now, roaming as they wish. and i fight to get crops in, and stay.

your farm looks so neat. how do you do that. mine is always messy, no matter how much i keep up with it. especially in the spring, (mud).

sorry the photos are irritating. i will work on them tommorow. i haven't figured out the delete thing yet. i just covered it with another message.

jesse

You guys are amazing!

Hey Agmantoo - on your grape arbors.... how far apart do you plant your grape vines? How do you train them to climb the poles and what do you use at the top for them to grow across? Have you mastered getting new vines from cuttings? If so, would you teach us?

Fireman: "I like to do as many projects as I can using dis-card/recycled things-----Guess I am Cheap---Naw---Just Like to "Play". Randy"

No - you're an Inventor! Credit where credit is due! I'm impressed.
