Wow-
This is a fantastic thread! What geniuses!
I think there should be a complete section for reuse/recycle.

Another project using a recycled kiddie Car Motor. This is a Drop feeder for the chickens/wildlife. It is bolted to the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket--works good!! Randy

Another project that alot of you might could use on the homestead---I recycled this fan off of a old power supply and put it in my incubator---I used a recycled cell phone charger that puts out 9 volts to power it---the 9 volts helps where it don't turn real fast--its a 12 volt fan. Randy

The Red Box has the 24hr clock and timer in it----The White looking piece of metal is what moves---it is in the open position in the picture---If the bucket had corn in it you would be seeing corn falling out the white pipe--the motor is controlled by a timer I built and adjustable from 1 second open to 15 seconds open by turning a knob. When it is time for it to close the white metal will move to where it will almost touch the silver metal strap to cover the bottom of the white pipe-----so no more corn falls out. How it works-----24hr timer has trip pins on it-----say I had it set for 8AM-----at 8AM it will activate the timer----which opens the bottom of the white pipe by the kiddie car motor gear box moving the white piece of metal out the way-------then in 1 to 15 seconds(ever how long I have it set) it will turn the motor back on in reverse to close the bottom of the white pipe. Hope this helps. Randy

projects
i agree with randy. we need some other imput. i know there are many others out there that do amazing stuff.
i will be posting my pics, as soon as the weather lets up, and i can get out there for a clear shot.
i tend to make stuff because we need it, and don't see the creativity in it. my kids have pointed out the stuff i should post. which i've already forgotten about.
i'm sure there are many others out there with the same situation.
thanx

hey, inventive handy folk! my husband is a pack rat like no other. He has some sort of disorder that he can not tolerate to throw anything away - he salvages everything! With the idea, you never know when someone might need this part or that - or this has so many useful pieces left to it. Only problem is I want a yard again! he has the "junk" but not the time, and perhaps not the knowhow. I will be checking this thread often for more reinventive ways of using "rubbish"

Fireman, how is the sun tracker made? I could really use that for my solar box cooker. Care to make me one for a fee?

I could Go on and on----but then I would sound like I was Bragging, but I am not---I just Get a Great "Buzz" building things out of scrape/junk. Randy

antique incubator's element was bad, one year we used an old stove top which worked well
this year he found a hibachi element that fits in the old elements box that works even better

hey ozark-dew,
maybe try the reverse. list some items in the barter site, or here, and see if someone can use them. apparently we have some really amazing folk here.
ya never know, maybe your emptying yard will do some good.
