It sounds like you enjoy a peaceful life, one that doesn't have neighbors all around you. Having said that, why not look into a larger parcel, one that may have good hay/crop ground that you can lease out to a farmer? It would give you plenty of solitude, and a small income as well.

Robert, my advice is that when you do go, SUBDIVIDE and sell as lots. You'll make the most that way. I am in a similar situation as you but with 25 acres, and in 5-10 years, it will all be covered in housues while I make trips to the bank for deposits. Then I will move farther out.

Robert what could you get out of your place? What would you want to put in another place? Im not sure but Id bet that acreage really isnt the big thing to you its privacy and cost. Why not look for a better place in a more suitable neighborhood and not worry about the size?
