The mantra of the farm: "If you don't write it down, it won't get done."

We keep a continual work to do list and a groceries list on torn up strips of junk mail in the kitchen.

Sucessful country life is nothing if not planning- and list-dependent.

I have my deceased FIL's 1951 GMC pickup. In the glove box was a whole bunch of lists, figures and cow data from the early '70s. All on recycled school paper that earlier had been used by my wife for lessons!

I have a Palm tungsten. It IS my brain. Actually when it docks, it docks to Crystal's Brain. I don't know what I'm doin without it. I can jot almost anything down, all my phone #'s ,adresses, birthdays and appointments.

I can't draw pics on it. But if I ever need to upgrade.. I might get an i Paq. My DH has one and it records voice messages. "Genius idea number 10....note to self" as DH starts all his ideas.
