So far the tests have shown that the so called crossbreeds were all house cats. Just being wild does not mean they are crossbreeds, any cat born and raised in the wild will act the same way, even the house cat.
Much like the american black panther, the bobcat/housecat and the lync/housecat is just a result of a little too much imigination.
Many people think because a cat gets pregnant and they do not have a male it must be a wild cat. They seem to forget the male house cat will travel many miles to find a female in heat. But it always makes a better story to say they are crosses. Proving it has been a different story.

No, we're talking white mama cat would have babies with LONG, pointy black tipped ears, stubby tails, and the big ol' paws. Even light spotting, very pretty.... but wicked mean.

This gal was, they believed, half bobcat... her mama was a calico who turned up one day pregnant.
She was an indoor/outdoor cat herself, and one day came home and had these...
Nevrmind, can't get it to load...
This is one of the abovve kittens all grown up

why so someone else gets the problem cat
unless the group owns a place and can ensure that the cats don't leave radio collars or adiquate containment then they are dumping domesticated anamals or relocating wildlife only the dnr has the athority to relocate wildlife and dumping an invasive sepecies sounds like a crime to me
our local police department takes them to the humane sociaty then there is no charge they have even picked a few up when they are slow.
as for the cheapest way to dispose of cats just put the trap in a barrel of water
i don't do that at my house because it is easier to let the police have them
no holes to dig , i can get in no trouble , and no angry neighbors

i pay about 3.50 for cci stingers box of 50 they are what you would call a premium holopoint 22lr so about .07 cents each
while i wouldn't use them if i was going to do a buch of target shooting they are very efective on small game and vermen they travel at 1600 fps and make a real mess out of what ever you shoot.
for a test take a milk jug fill it with water and cap it shoot it with your regular round then try a stinger we tried this with 9mm fmj and a stinger also
stinger makes a much bigger mess

The picture loaded. The cat in the picture is half manx. I have seen many that look the same. This is where many people get the idea that their cat was bred by a bobcat. The are nice cats and a favorite of mine but they are 100% house cat. We owned many of those, some will get very large for a house cat and some will have an extra toe.
If I can remember where to find it, there is a reward for anyone that can show them a cat that is a cross between a house cat and a bob cat. The last I heard there had been several people who had a cat they thought was a crossbred but when tested they weren't. As far as I know the reward is still open. There is also an open reward for anyone who can provide proof of a black panther native to the U.S. That reward is still waiting for anyone who can provide proof.

Tiger crossed with what? Tigers *can* cross with lions. But I think there might be a bit of a logistics issue trying to cross a housecat with a tiger!
BTW that cat sure looks very bobcat!!!!

Are you sure that you have seen a bobcat?
Those ears are nothing like the bobcats around here.
Bobcats and Maine coons both run 35 pounds, and have very close to the same colouring. HUGE paws, and thick fur.

And there is no tiger in this guy, he's a Toyger; a breed being developed from the bengal, but had to share him.

Uhh... have you ever seen a maine coon? They come in every color, no spots of those guys. Yes, they can be big (not all are) but I have NEVER seen a 35 pounder. Twenty pounds, maybe, but a tom of any breed can easily reach that if the genetics are there.

Pancho,
Black panthers or are you talking about black mountain lions? I know that there are jaguars that can be black. Some guy's hounds treed what they thought were a mountain lion then when they caught up, it turned out to be a jaguar! It was in the southern states..maybe Arizona? The guy had a heck of a time trying to grab his dogs to get them to quit baying the jaguar. I suspect there might be either albino or black mountain lions but think that is so rare you won't see them.

Black panthers and black mountain lions are the same thing, except there are no black ones. There are a few jaguars in North America but that is a different species than the mountain lion.
Everybody has heard of the black panther or mountain lion. Many have seen them. Only thing is there has never been documented or any real proof. No hair, no skin, no black cat. There have been several videos but when researched they have been proven to be anything from house cats, otters, dogs, bears, and even cows.
There is now a $13,000 reward for proof that one exists. Several have tried videos but so far no big black cat.

That looks like a plain old alley cat. Look in just about any alley and you can find one that looks like his twin.

Doesn't sound like your uncle does
and BTW spaying saves bringing unwanted cats in the world.
Oh and How is that abuse? Allowing a cat to have a litter year after year so your uncle can bop baby kittens over the head, um, can't you figure out that one yourself. I don't mean to sound rude but asking of others here if they have no hearts? What is that saying about the pot calling the kettle black?

Ok, Back off! Look she has all her cats fixed, but this one was way to old to be put under. He doesn't like it. But does he want to pay for a litter a cat a year? No, and neither does my aunt. So im sorry for sharing.
