Cheney is not trying to take my guns away, nor would he vote to do so. In fact the depatment of homeland security doesn't care about gun jibba jabber, it cares mainly about muslims that are trying to bomb civilization back to the stone age with themselves.



BTW the senate and the house voted for the depatment, that makes it legal. Cheney did not cast a vote.

It's a nice gun, belongs to Gleanerl, she got it from her grandpa. It's a 6.5x55, and a sweet shooter. I prefer my '03 springfield 30-06, but that's just me.

Now I've heard everything.....

First the libs saying it is the conservatives trying to ban firearms....

Now that is just funny!!!

Seconds, Moonpups, I understand that you think the feds are watching, and who knows they might just be watching, but there is nothing illegal going on here. But I have a problem with being told I should cower in fear, because they may be watching, listening.. etc. Those that have to live in fear of their government need to get off of their lazy @$$es and do something about it. Quit voting the party line, write your legislators.. etc, but don't live in fear, because if you live in fear, they the government have already won. This is no different then the terroists...

Last but not least, if this site is only for those that fear their government, then I may have to drop my membership(this is the last thing I want to do) this group, for I don't deal well with cowards!

Seriously, though, you're nuts. I've got guns in every room in the house. In the car. And on my person. At all times. All have been properly purchased and I'm an OH CCW holder. I've got more ammo than I could possibly even try to count. It's not only <gasp> *legal* to talk/post about them but <nooooo!> it's *legal* to talk about 'em.

What's yer point?

The 2nd guarantees my right to own them. The 1st guarantees my right to talk about 'em.

OOOoooohhhh! Don't talk about guns!

Where I live, if you don't have at least 3 servicable firearms for every member of the family, spare parts, and at least 5,000 rounds for each caliber -- then you're under-equipped.

Apparently people don't understand their rights, so I've included the first 10 Amendments (Bill Of Rights) here. On the first two Amendments I've highlighted the same words, because some would argue that they mean different things. The reason for all this is because of the fear that some have exhibited of their government.




BILL OF RIGHTS




1st Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
2nd Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
3rd Amendment
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
4th Amendment
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
5th Amendment
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
6th Amendment
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
7th Amendment
In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
8th Amendment
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
9th Amendment
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
10th Amendment
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Hmmmm...............
It seems to me that:

Every Citizen's Home in the This Land should have at Least One Homeland
Defense Weapon, for Each Adult Citizen,to insure the Defense of the Homeland, and of the Good and True Citizens.

Along with your Homeland Defense Weapon, Every Citizen should be required
to Own and Store Safely a Minimum of Three Hundred Rounds of Cartridges,
Suitable for Defence of the Homeland and her Good and True Citizens.

Every Citizen shall be required to Train, twice each year, with their said
Homeland Defense Weapon, to insure Proficiency.

The cost shall be 50%/50% Citizen and Government as a Tax Benefit.

It seems to me..........This would make Our Great Country a Safer, more Secure place.
And, That's the way, it seems to me.
