I have a wonderful wooden rack I bought from Lehman's 10 years ago. I can get two large loads on it (doubling some things up). I put it upstairs and with the woodstove cranking, the stuff is dry in a few hours!

Our climate here is dry even in the winter so that helps. With seven people, that's some serious laundry!

We have a rolling rack with hangers and a huge drying rack. When we need to we string a line in the basement where we keep the racks

In Russia, they let them dry/freeze on the line, then iron the clothes to thaw them and dry out the last bits of damp.
