That's what happened to me, Kim in Ohio. We got soaking pouring muddy wet slooshy slippery rain all day yesterday, and then 20* this morning! All my gates bottoms were froze solid in the frozen mud. Was hard digging them out with my 25 layers of clothes on. Had to pour steaming water from my cookstove on all the gate snaps. And then my gloves get froze stuck on the wet snaps. Just got back in from breaking water again. 20's tomorrow and then back into the 40's......My cookstove is eating wood like I eat skiddles...which is allot!

We got it all here yesterday, rain, snow, thunder, hail. Today just constant light snow. We are supposed to get rain tonight and warm back up to the nice sunny 50's tomorrow. And then in the 60's on Friday. I can't wait. I was really starting to take last weeks spring time weather for granted and I want it back!

From what others are saying about thier weather, mine isn't too bad. It is 20 degrees here this morning and the wind is blowing some. No snow. Had a bit of flurries yesterday, but wasn't hardly enough to see. Had to be looking to see them. The sun did shine some yesterday.

i got about 8+ inches of mixed precip yesterday and the night before. 3-4 inches of snow followed by 4+ inches of sleet...or something like that. i started shoveling a path to the mailbox for the postlady, but i lost heart when the v-plow tossed another 2 inches on my clean spot...grrr! it's now a frozen ridge of ice that will take half a day to chip away. i would say that i would have preferred 2 feet of snow...but i don't want that to sound like a request for more, lol. at least i won't see any bills for another day or so.

It's 4 degrees here - with the wind it is below 0 degres . Stopped snowing last night around 9pm . We got close to 3 feet of snow . Was out all day snowblowing trying to keep up with it . Went out last night and pulled some of the snow off the roof .
We had the scanner on and heard a few call about roofs collapsing on mobile homes (which is what we have) . Got me nervous - even tough we have a fairly new metal roofover on ours . Also heard a call about carbonmonoxide . DH went out to check our furnace stack and sure enough it was blocked by snow . He said the snow he pulled away from it was black and sooty . Good thing we checked !!!
All the roads in the county are closed and in the neighboring county - state of emergency .

It's 18 below and i think my pickup is froze.
Wal-Mart antifreeze must not be good to that cold as I had slush in the radiator.
Oh well, I guess I'll sit here till it warms up.

It's up to 10°F now but the winds have picked up since yesterday. We got about 34" (?) of snow yesterday although it is a bit hard to tell since it look deeper than that due to the drifting - It's half way up the house. The kids are having a lot of fun with the snow drifts.

Cheers
