Beware of the Gorilla glue. Just use a drop or two, as it foams up and expands. If you use too much, you will have a mess.
BTW We have a large cast iron Vogelzang stove that weighs alot. We have a pad of fire bricks beneath it and it "walks" all over the place.

Why don't you just cut four pieces of inner tube, and place one under each leg?

Simple solution that's temporary (as opposed to the permanent solutions of glue/drilling) is to run to your local lumber yard and buy a "router pad". This is a pad approx one foot by one foot that keeps wood from sliding around on your workbench while running the router. Just cut four small squares of it and place it under each leg your problem will be solved.

Ok, Your problem is not a lack of traction. the problem is that your stove (like ours) has legs, and as it heats and cools the metal expands and contracts. This causes the legs to move and actually, physicaly walk the stove from one place to another.
Maybe the best solution would be to loosen the leg conections, so that the legs aren't rigid enough to stroll around your living space.
In other words. Are the legs bolted to the fire box? If so loosen the nuts just a little, so the legs can move themselves without moving their mates.
Wow! Thanks for posting this. I think we have solved my own problem. I'm going to try this.
