I have shopped through those types of sites and made money back. It's legit.

You don't pay any money out at all. You just shop through them. I shopped Swanson's vitamins regularly that way until Swanson's stopped selling through those sites. I got 10% back for every purchase and regular checks in the mail. Place a swanson's order one month, and get the check the next month. Did that for a long time.

I made a $300 walmart purchase (for an item they didn't carry in their stores) and got a $30 check back the next month from the shopping site for that purchase.

Over a period of several years, I got a few hundred dollars worth of checks and Paypal payments from those shopping sites.

Haven't been shopping much online lately, though. But if I start again, I'll be going through the cash-back shopping sites. Works for me...

Some people really get into on-line things.

In fact, I click on e-mails for pennies while the kids are getting ready for school. "Did you brush your teeth?" click click. "No TV until you are ready to go" click click.

But, I just do not buy much from stores, and when I do buy I like to go in person. For me it would not pay.

Online shopping saves me a ton of money. (I've been intending to see if I can go through a cash back site for amazon, just haven't gotten around to it. But I'm just getting started good at amazon) Amazon is an example of getting many of my organics for half price or less. I can't afford to NOT save money, so if that includes shopping online to do it, then I'm going to shop online.

I only use them for sites I'm already shopping at for bargains. I NEVER shop just to shop. I power shop to get the most of what I need for the smallest amount of money possible.

yeah those kinds of sites don't really make you money as much as save you money. There are other ways to make money online... I got paid about $175 in January for online moneymaking stuff... but it involves trying out products, signing up for free trials, etc. Most sites are scams but some are legit.

Yes, exactly. They are rebate sites. They don't make you anything at all. But when you get 5% to 20% rebate back on what you were going to buy anyway at the place you were already going to buy it at, they really help with a tight budget!

I was thinking the Holy Grail might be someone willing to deliver beautiful black compost, for free, anywhere!!!

I've got lots of acreage, but few spots with good rich topsoil.

And this is the holy grail of homesteading because? Earning money by spending money is not earning money to me and it certainly doesn't have ANYTHING to do with homestead imo.............but maybe that's why I am NOT a moderator.

Since I respect your opinions, I was just wondering if the shipping costs from big box dealers eats up your rebates? When ya add in shipping, do ya really come out ahead?

I'm honestly curious, not disputing.

Exclamation One Problem...

Yo Steve!
I followed your referral link and it went to an UN-secured web page and began asking for personal information.

I won't do that...sorry.

I take shipping costs into my calculations when I'm determining my savings.

When I shop Swanson's online, the shipping is only $4.95 per any size order, and I save beaucoup dollars over the next cheapest place to get supplements- wallyworld.

Before I shop anywhere- brick&mortar, online, mailorder- I take all factors into account to decide which way is going to get me what for the cheapest possible price.

I'm what they call a Power Shopper.

If you really want to make money with your home computer:

www.liveops.com
www.workathomeagent.net
www.workplacelikehome.com (forum)

Liveops does ask for $30 for a background check, believe me they are 100% legit though. I have a $260 direct deposit coming for probably 20 hours of work, and just had a $120 DD on the first of this month. What you make does depend on how good you are. When you first start you will make 5-10 an hour. If you get good, you can easily make $12 an hour or so. Some do this as a full time job. I would have a really hard time doing that all day. I usually schedule one hour at a time, or I get burnt out at back to back calls.

if I post something that has nothing to do with Homesteading, the moderators move it or delete it. Why is this person allowed special privilege?
I believe his idea may be legitimate, but this is the wrong place to pitch it.

Why is it that almost every time I think I've found the Holy Grail, I end up getting the golden fleece instead?

Im a big online shopper.I dont know any way to get better SAVINGS.

Online is my first choice vrs. driving into town.In many cases,I can ONLY find what I want online.

Hey,every dime you dont spend is money in your pocket.

Of course there is shipping, figure it in,some places there is no shipping costs.

If you can SAVE 10% on a purchase,I dont see the problem.

I like the premise, wonder if its truly legit. When someone else tries it,let us know.

I dont see any downside except signing up and possibly being spammed.

I like LadyCats reply, seems she has BTDT.

Yes folks, some deals ARE legit you know. Some CC give 5% or so back, sounds very much like the same thing to me.

I'd like to hear if it works,if you try it,post back.

BooBoo
