hisenthlay,
As I said, if these Mexicans were living that many to a house, it would more than likely have been illegals.
I have empathy for anyone. Since, however, it has been the illegal problem has been with us in this part of the country for the last 20 years, it is a very sore spot with me.
Their work ethic, sure. Some are very nice people. That really changes nothing about their illegality.
While I wish them no bad luck, I reserve my sympathy for the American families being harmed by this travesty our government is allowing and encouraging.
The Americans who once were doing these jobs. YEs, they were. That job was being done before they came. I saw the chicken industry workers, the dairy workers, etc., loose their jobs when the illegals came. Now I am seeing the bank workers, the computer workers, the teacher's aides, insurance offices, medical field, etc. In large cities in TExas, illegals do all the construction work. They are starting businesses. They do not have to meet the same restrictions as Americans do. Just grab yourself a truck, a ladder, a couple of hammers and you are a roofer. The same with landscaping.
There was recently a report many of these small businesses were actually fronts for drug money.
The American whose taxes have increased greatly, whose healthcare has increased greatly, whose auto insurance has increased tremendously, and the children whose educational resources have been diverted to educated these children with special needs.
Then we might feel sorry for the many Americans that are killed by DUI of illegals, the rapes and child molestation. Yes, Americans do all this, but this is a problem amount the illegals. It is pretty well believed here in TExas that Mexico 'helps' it's prisoners across the border when they get released.
We have plenty of criminals of our own. WE do not need to become a haven for more.
Also, I know many Americans with a great worth ethic - despite what the politicians are feeding you.
