My neighbor used poisoned grain he put down the mole holes. Then he covered the holes with rocks!

No moles at his place. I think they learned not to eat the poisoned grain & moved to my place!

best thing I've ever used is cheap ($1.99) palstic pinwheels, daisies, etc on metal rods. stick them in the ground and the vibrations run the little buggars off. They work great but look pretty tacky all over the yard. Might want to put a pink flamingo or two out there with them and run off the neighbors too

I've heard moles are territoral. I've also heard they can have literally miles of underground tunnels, and these can go down five feet deep or more. Moles are known to take over the tunnels belonging to other rodents like chipmunks and ground squirrels. The dirt-mounds the moles leave behind is some of the cleanest dirt a person can find. The moles somehow clean the dirt. Some people cherish the dirt and scoop it up for their gardens.

I've never heard of a problem with moles causing trees to uproot. Maybe somebody else could enlighten us whether they are harmful to the trees.

If you are not overly concerned about the appearance of your lawn, then maybe you could just learn to live with the moles. Scoop up the dirt and put it into your gardens.

I read somewhere that you can drop Starburst candies down into the holes and that will somehow make them go away (does it kill them?). Not sure though.

The only thing I know about moles is that if your neighbors have them, you probably will to, unless you all work together to get rid of all of them at once.

Plastic pinwheels worked for me, tacky but effective.
