Anyone remember that?
That's the first thing that came to my mind.

That's right. Before she left, she went in and deleted everything that she had wrote about the whole entire scenario. Supposedly was offended because she asked for "advice", and then when it was given either gave an excuse for why she couldn't do that or else just ignored it. When people started to think that the whole thing was a made up story, she deleted everything.

Don't know what "critter" she had other than it was supposed to be a bigfoot. Once 2 "hunters" that overheard her story agreed to stake out her house and chasing the "thing" through the woods. Then an "expert" was going to come. Things weren't adding up and then all of a sudden "I've been offended because people don't believe me." and she deleted her posts.

What was written would make a wonderful best seller for a horror book! Not sure if she had a creature, or was just testing her "story" before she publishes it.

I just saw on the news today about a rabid fox that attacked an elderly woman & then went in someone's doggy door.

Their 3 dogs cornered & killed it. It did test positive for rabies. I hope those brave doggies had their shots!!

Open your door with your 12ga & shoot whatever it is. Don't have a 12ga? Get one! Being afraid of something scratching at your door is no way to live! Someone said it might be a stray dog? I'm inclined to believe that. I've never heard of wild animals scratching at doors to get in...Except Grizzelys! I think if it was a grizz, you'd know it.

long legs and a wolf's head? Sounds like a South American Maned Wolf to me. LOL

Does it have a strong odor? But on the very very miniscule chance it is one, not to worry as they are 50% herbivores and only eat little things like frogs and mice. Or puppies!

I remember that. Whatever happened to her and what was the upshot of all the goings-on? I was keeping up with it when it all disappeared. Someone posted the BFRO site link on there which has a sitings database for all of the US. I was quite shocked and dismayed to learn that there are Bigfoot sightings in TN!!! I always thought it was a Pacific NW thing.

As far as the OP, I would see if I could get some hunter friends to stake my place out and kill whatever it is. Wild, odd, or whatever, trying to get into your house is a no-no. That's odd that your outside dog should be so afraid of them. I think that would make me more nervous.

Small black bear maybe. Most dogs will go hide from bears. I don't know about yotes but they do stink enough that you should be able to smell them quite a ways. Call your local dnr and ask them for help if you need to. Sometimes they would rather catch the animal than have it shot. Good luck and I agree with others tote a gun. Just another thought those lights are very bright but have a short life before needing charged again. Just keep that in maind and don't get caught in the dark. Sam

SHHHHHHHH! we're not supposed to talk about that! if anything remains of that thread, it has been sanitized for the property owner's and the "being's" privacy.

I don't think Jena is like the poster from the other thread. That poster always had major drama going on in her life on the Equine board. I hate to say it but I think a lot of what she posted was attention seeking . I could be wrong; just my opinion.

It sounds like it may be a couple of wolves to me. Not many animals run with two or more. If he saw two, it doesn't mean there weren't more he didn't see.
I think if it had been a bear it would have come on in. There was a black bear that tore up a bunch of homes in Ft. Myers Fla., back in the seventies.
I wish she would post again. I would hate to find out something happened to her.
Where you at Jena???????
It is creepy, isn't it??

That's not funny Hill Crest, LOL.

I don't think ZealYouthGuy was saying that Jena is like Tarot Farm. He was just saying that is how the other thread went. Something major would happen and we would all be waiting for an update and she would give an excuse for why she hadn't been on . . . . . . . . .

And I'm not saying Jena is like that either!
