From this picture of the car, where you picked her up, you're saying that there was a foot and a half of water at the rear end of the car and she was standing in it.
So the picture was taken the next day, and the water level had dropped and then frozen solid, as it is in the picture? OK, I can see a frozen ice line along the car which may confirm that the car was in deep water. But why wasn't the ditch frozen in the picture?
Just one more small question...why wasn't she wearing a coat? Most folks in Central Illinois wear winter clothing during the winter.
Why would she be out in silk clothing with no underwear on? Evidently, from your posts that her clothes weren't hiding anything, I'm assuming she had on neither bra nor panties? And thin silk outergarments, with no coat? In Mid-January?
BTW if the truck isn't yours, whose is it since I believe in Post #1 you said that it's you standing beside your truck...
Hmmmmmmm....
Edited to add:
In Post#1 you did claim that the picture is of, "Me standing beside MY big truck"...now you say it ain't your truck? What'd ya do sell it since the thread began?

wonder how how she got into the back of that truck looks really high off the ground and dont look like there is a bumpper to climb up onto. fm i think ur fuller than christmas turkey you sure have and exciting life driving around in ur BIG truck lol. and i think i would rather have her sitting on wet silk than just bare butt naked on my seat if its such a expensive leather. but thats just MO

I was still a bit miffed at the way she had treated me.I didnt feel like getting wet,is why she and her wet self had to ride in the back or naked till I got to dry land and could get her my coveralls. You seem to not be paying any atention to the point that she was for all intents and purposes naked anyway I dont know what she had on but it was more see thru than a wet Tshirt.
Sorry no blankets or towels in that truck that night It was just pure luck my Coveralls were in it.
|
So if you had the coveralls why didnt you just let her change outside the truck and be a gentleman and not look. Problem solved. She is not in wet clothes and your truck is dry. Hummm bet cha never thought of that huh?
And another thing... you said you would have to get out to get the coveralls... why would you have to get out? In all the trucks I have seen you can reach into the back to retrieve something if you are parked and you were parked. You are just not making any sense.

Made what up? I took exactly what you said happened and put myself in the shoes of the other person to get an idea of how she must have felt.
Bottom line - your first move is to pull up and tell her to take off ALL her clothes to sit with you or else she has to ride in the bed of the truck soaking wet. As you title asks.... Why would she be so scared of you? hmmmmmmmmmmm

Boleyz,
My best guess as to why ;
The ditch wasnt frozen because the ice had froze thinly then bridged as the water droped thn broken and the bridge fell in and the water was still draining from the surronding land.
Why wasnt she wearing a coat? Again Im gussing. Because city people dont think they are going to have to walk ,particulary across flooding rivers in the mddleof the night.
Under wear? Your asking Me why women dress like they do? I cant even figger out why they try to drive little cars thu 3 + feet of water and you want me to explain style? I dont know she may have had them on if she did they were pretty thin.
The truck isnt mine I didnt say it was me standing beside my truck in the first post.
I said in narration Me,looking down from my big truck.
I ment I was in possesion of it and driving it.
I clearly said in post 20 it wasnt my truck to clear up any misunderstandings for those who may have missed other posts with that truck in it where where Ive explained its ownership.
Dragonfly
When I got to dry land I did what you suggest. The reason I had to get out to get the coveralls is there is a TV in the way between front and back.
At the moment I first picked her up I was under a bit of stress and didnt think of all my options it took a bit for that to hit me. What I could have done but didnt think of till later ,and Id like to point out that noone else has here in all their relaxed contemplation ,would have been to have let her open the back door get the coveralls ,hand them to me , then she could climb into the back of the truck and then throw them to her to change then let her up front after we got to dry land.
But agin folks I dont think it was the getting naked that was the problem.
MWG
Nope not last weekend I dont think she had been drinking
Caberjim
I really dont know how to respond to your comments since they havent got anything todo with the situation

OK to move this thread along to its original point.
and hopefully get otheres to jump inwith their own stories.
Im sitting at home one night reading and after a while it dawns on me that Ive been hearing a car horn off in the distance. Iopen the door and listen, its sorta down towards my neighbors. I get up and get dressed to go out (carharts agin!) its cold and wet from a few days rain .
I walk about 1/4 mile in the dark till I come to a car stuck in the road on a curve and little hill. I live on a crummy dirt road ,its supposed to be gravel but I think thats just cause some kids threw rocks at it about 100 years ago.
anyway as awalk up about 5 feet from the car she blows the horn at me and starts hollering "stay back ,stay back" I back up a bit and hollar "whats wrong ?" she rolls her window down 1 inch and says she is stuck and cant get the car out. Now shes just on a slick clay bank and all she needs to do is back up and get a run at it and come up fast and over a couple of feet . I tell her that. She insists that she cant move and that I have to go get my tractor and pull her out. At that time the only thing I had was a chevy chevette not exatly pulling matriel. So I told her that and I couldnt do that.I offered to drive her car out for her she had a screaming fit that no way was she going to let a stranger in her car. Ok then Ill call some one for you. Nope she didnt have anyone I could call. asked if me or mywife (was married back then) could giveher a ride nope she wasnt riding with strangers I stood there a bit and asked "any other Ideas" she said no and I waved and turned around and left .
A bit later shes honking like crazy I walk back and she wants to know when Im coming back .I told her I wasnt ,Id tried and I really didnt see how I could help her if she wouldnt let me. Asked her agin what do you want me to do? She just shook her head and I started to walk off now she hollars "YOU CAN DRIVE MY CAR" so i walk back It took her a LOOOOONG time to unlock the car.I waited for her to get out but instead she slid over. I got in backed up a few feet gunned it and drove right out.
about 10 feet from the top of the hill she started to panic "WHY ARNT YOU STOPPING" LOl because the road is still muddy . it gets better at my drive do you mind If I save myself the walk? her; oh go ahead. I jump out and the end of my drive and now she needs directions turns out shes lost. I give them to her but it turns into a conversation long enough my ex came down and joined in they get into a gab fest long enough I left and finished my book.
But never a word of thanks.

?????????
And WHY didn't you make her strip off her clothes?
You missed a real opportunity to make her get naked before you helped...
Here's my story:
I've changed tires and jumped off batteries and pulled some folks out of mud.
Boring, huh?
None of them ever got mad, cussed, panicked, got naked or forgot to say thanks. Of course, I don't do unexpected and unexplained things like drive them to my house without a word of explanation.
I'd have probably said, "Hey, once we get un-stuck, would you mind if I drive on up to my house and get out there?"

Look where the ICE is frozen to the doors and inside the car. That is how high the water WAS.
