WHAH...( that's whining with a Boston accent)..

I had circled my calendar and was seriously going to TRY to see if I could make it down there, even for one day since my surgery would have been 3/26..but oh well..it got changed to 4/10..so there's no way I'll be ready to travel so soon afterwards..I can almost smell that turkey now..LOL..it's incredibly depressing not to be able to get there this year and hang out with you WONDERFUL folks..yet, there's always the Fall get-together, eh?

For any of you folks who might be on the fence, wondering if it's worth it to go..well, it IS..wonderful company, great conversations, fantastic scenery..all rolled into one "event"..

Corky, you are being very brave, considering the woman might not need the chair in the fall

Sorry, we will have to wait until the fall to see you again Lesley, but it will certainly be great to be able to celebrate with you!

LaDonna, asked that I let everyone know there was a mix up with the reservations, and we will have Group Site #4. Also, there is some new rule about only seven vehicles per group site, we might have to work out the logistics later. Might borrow Don and Dennis's van for the transport vehicle?

Only one month away

Hugs,
Marlene

Got a question since I have never been there. I see from the website that there are over 80 drive in campsites available. Are there campsites close to the group site you all have picked out? I am considering getting one of those because I want my vehicle and small trailer with me. Want to be near you all, but don't want to leave my van.

Merrymedic, sorry, at Buffalo Point group camping is up closer to the Ranger Station, and the rest of the campsite are down the hill closer to the river, that is also where the showers are. There is a long roadway and area around the parvillion near group camping so it will not be necessary that you have a separate campsite.

I'm not very good at guessing distance, perhaps someone else will read this and give a more detailed description.

This reminds me of the first time Corky and Milt came to Buffalo Point, were told the campsite was 1/2 down the hill. They arrived after dark, and realized if you had never been there before how do you actually know what 1/2 down is?

Looks like about 30 more days.

Hugs
Marlene

I'm jealous! If I wasn't so caught up in a weeklong campout the week before this I'd be there.

This is April 13th...Happy Birthday Corky's pup!

I don't think you have the posts come into your e-mail Don but if you do then just leave the last one you received and don't delete it and you can find the thread fast no matter how long it's been.

I had taught Milt that trick as he just can't get the hang of the computer and could never find it.

Now that we have a new computer he does not have the link to the forum loaded and I can never seem to find a time when he wants to do it.

He mostly uses the computer to read the paper and talk to Family.

lists? don, you have time on your hands? make my lists, too, wouldya? thanks so much

i just realized that this is the last soccer game weekend. sav and bo have a decision to make, if my parents will keep them, and haul them to their games, i'll offer sav and bo the choice to camp or play soccer.....

sports stink, for those of you who don't know that. i hate sports. my kids play because they want to and i love them enough to give them the opportunity to explore the things they want to explore (within reason.... )

I'm impressed Don, it would do my heart good to know I've managed to influence atleast one fellow camper

Since we've gotten the storage buildings, my list need not be as long. I have a place assigned in mine for camping gear and all I need to do now is have LaDonna drive up as close as she can to the door, and I can just hand her stuff until she runs out of room

I do need a list for food supplies, which believe it or not has not gotten from my head to paper yet this time.

Hugs,
Marlene

Just a short note to let all my friends know that I won't be able to be online for a while....my dang computer died...............I get nothing but the 'blue screen of death', as a good friend of mine calls it. And so, I won't even have a puter for a while....I have to pay my property taxes, and get tags first, then I may be able to look for another lap top....If anyone wants to email me, I can receive email only at work, addy is powelllm@pinnaclefoodscorp.com....
Later,
LaDonna

2 Weeks!!!

Dennis and I drove down to Buffalo Point on Sunday and grilled some burgers for lunch. The rains have brought the water level up, it looks wonderful.
I would love for the water to be warm enough to swim!
