No, We are not dead or anything.
I have been reading this thread.
I am milking two goats twice a day now and the third is due to kid in the middle of next month.
We don't know if we will be able to make it at all.
If we do it will probably be a day trip thing. Thats a long drive for that but what the heck, we did it for Sheila and Joes new years dinner and we went to Jamesport Saturday. That is almost 5 hours from here.

I do plan to go to Baker Creek Sunday if I can. I have Friends down here that want to go and don't know how to get there.
I will worry about all that when the time comes I guess.
We sure would like to see you all again, and I love Buffalo Point.

She will be with us. I wont have to carry her around all the time at Buffalo Point as there won't be 6 " of dust followed by wet grass. I hope. LOL!
She is a fully dressed Maltese right now. Meaning, she has hair to the floor but that will have to be sheared for the Summer by then so she will look like a puppy again.
She will be a whole year old April 13th.

Hi friends!! Hope you're all doing well. We're planning on being there for the day Saturday. Can't wait to see everybody! Corky, we sure hope you and Milt can make it for the day Saturday too. Do we still do a potluck on Saturday? Maybe Big Joe can bring our new smoker and cook something awesome.

We are sitting here listening to John Denver sing "Back Home Again"
Makes you miss the good folks.

BTW, Has anyone watched Phyllis Speer and John Philpott make the Trash Can Turkey?
We purchased a HUGE turkey and I would love to cook it at the campout.

Don, I'll bring some cajun injector seasoning, and you bring the trash can and about 5 gallons of vegetable oil and we'll have us a fried turkey Or you can borrow Big Joe's spit since Laura has more or less (?) volunteered to turn that thing 3-4 hours?

Hugs
Marlene

The turkey weighs 13-1/2 pounds.

I may borrow my BIL's turkey fryer. But, then we would all miss out on watching Laura turn the spit for several hours!

OR, we could get Gail to the campout with his oxygen bottle, place the turkey on the fire pit and let him turn up the juice!!!!

tnhomestead - since no one has answered your question about a place to park your trailer I'll give it a shot.

There are truck stops in the area. Which direction will you be coming from, and how close do you need to be to where you leave the trailer?

Hope to see you there,
Marlene

P.S. Should we send out a search party for LaDonna?

And incase you're interested it's only 34 more days.

I might have a spare gallon or two in the basement . . . . For some reason, every time I went shopping for a couple weeks last winter, I was convinced we were totally out. I'm pretty sure we've got at least a gallon or two of peanut oil in the basement, too - anyone allergic?

Thirty-four days?! I have to wait that long? Oh, well, how we suffer . . .

tnhomestead, I'm not familiar with how those truck stop places with lots work, but there is one just east of Harrison, on the corner where you turn to go to Yellville - I'm sure you can make arrangements to leave the trailer there.

As long as you don't plan on leaving your engine running, I don't think you will have a problem with your truck in the park.

tnhomestead,

at the end of our road, the fire house has a huge parking lot and we see semis parked there quite often.
And, it is just about 6 miles to the entrance to Buffalo Point.

Would be no problem for Dennis and I to get you back and forth.
