lived in WISCONSIN my hole life

I like fried squash and green tomatoes, but you are right, they each have a distinctive taste. To me, a fried green tomato tastes more like fried eggplant.

Does anyone have a good reciepe for a dipping sauce?

I grew up in western NC and east TX. I thought everybody ate them. I would rather have them that way than any other.

There's a restaurant in town called Mick's that serves them sprinkled with feta cheese (first) and then covers them in a sauce (second) that seems to be some combination of sour cream, thousand island dressing, and red peppers (all blended together). It's really good.
