That is so funny... made me laugh

I guess my car tearing up was kind of the straw that broke the camels back. I told Dh I was not buying another car that I would just walk. I had just put new tires on my car only to find out 15 mins after that... (was making a weird noise like a roaring) stopped to have someone drive it to tell me what it was. Bearings... needed bearings.... both sides.... $300 per side. Now me being a girl and all I look at the man and say "is that a bad thing, can I like drive it until they go out?" lol the man looks at me with a striken look and says "yea! its a bad thing and then proceeded to tell me why. lol I just bought the parts for $250 for both sides and paid the local gas station to put them on for $100. Only cost me $350 verses the $600 the first guy quoted me. I just got tires and fixed the bearings two months ago. My car is a 2000 grand prix. Hubby is no help. Something fell off it a while back and he just picked it up and threw it in the trunk. I said what is that in my trunk and he said it fell off your car and I threw it in your trunk. I said what is it... he said dont know. The driver's window... the cable broke so I just stuck a wedge in the window to keep it up. When I want my window down I remove the wedge slide down to where i want it, replace wedge. lol
I feel better now. I guess just having a bad moment. I like hearing how people are making their goals and the ones who are close and the ones just in the planning stages. It is encouraging to know that others are where you are or have been where you are.

I know exactly how you feel too. 4 year ago I had a dream to move out in the country with some land. I had invisioned 40 acres plus a house I had even picked out the area. I had no money and was just squeaking by every month. DH had told his brother for a year we we're going to move. I think he got tired of hearing it so one day he said if you don't do now you will never do it. Well we did it moved with a car full of clothes and 1500.00 we made it to Missouri not the place we intended but I found a house to rent the first night in Missouri . I expected to buy a house within 6 months I was so wrong. 20 months later I finally bought a house and land 14 acres not 40 but it was perfect. I had some many obstacles get in our way . Everytime things went smooth there was something else. I know now what looks like it will never come will if you want it. I heard a saying a long time ago from a movie a kid wants some hunting dogs real bad he prays and prays for them and doesn't get them his grandpa told him son god will help you the boy didn't understand he started working odd jobs to make the money 2 yrs later he gave grandpa the money to order his pups. The boy said now I understand I had to meet god halfway I had to work to get what I want and GOD gave me the strength, courage and will power to do it. Sometimes things take longer then planned but that is okay life would be pretty boring without the mountains that god puts in our way.

reminds me of last week. we had some nice weather and I had some extra cash so I went and rented a 50' ladder and fixed my barn roof. Took all day and the next morning but I got some used metal roofing panels up where there were none and the barn was dry inside and I didn't die. woo-hoo. Today I look and another panel blew off on a different side, right where it is hard to get the ladder up because of a tree. DOH! I might throw rocks at it.
