Not returning the form is screwing your community for likely much needed funds. I can be as paranoid as anyone, but this is actually to HELP you. They aren't coming to steal your chickens or take away your kids.

I filled it out since I'm a good little girl (always cleaned my plate, made my bed, etc.) and sent it in. Someone actually called me to ask about a couple of answers--get this: I got my age wrong! And my DH's age! we are actually a year younger...the one that really threw them was the one that said we heat with wood. She was really wondering about that one...I guess in this day and age those of that do are few and far between.

Yeah, I got that, and as far as I am concerned, its none of their business what time I leave for work.
I read all there reference points and section laws online. The fine is 100$ and 500$.

It also said you have to fill it out to the best of your knowledge.

In case anyone doesn't know, the info goes to a massive database in Clinton, Arkansas. Its where they keep all the info ever gained on you, down to your kroger plus card, and the stupid misc. coupon surveys you fill out and send in. your magazine subscriptions, cc transactions, credit checks, etc. Dont think they dont already know everything.

They are using this "community survey" or whatever they call it, to actually verify their other information gathering means. They already use tax information, other government records....even change of address forms from the USPS to gather info. They are using this survey to check on that electronic gathering so that they can do the next census without sending any questionnaires.

I forget where I found that, but it was official government manuals and such for the census bureau. I threw the darn things away and if they want to arrest me...hey go for it.

In the end, it doesn't matter. They already have what they are looking for.

In this day of ID theft who wants to send that stuff through the mail.let alone have it all stoered on a gov.puter. that get hacked all the time.
Come on the property trespasser have to get pass a few rather large dogs, and then get shot at.
Where we live the sherrif doesnt even get outta his car if he comes to your place he sits in the car and hits it with a spot light to get your attention ( we seen this at the neighbors house had to go tell him she aint gonna come out )
seems to me I have a round file for this

Well Gord....there is such a thing as being given a $100 fine.....and then there is the paying of it........just curious I suppose, but did the govt ever collect it? 'Fraid I'd have to take mine out in the pokey; got too many mouths to feed around here......that $100 could feed a lot of goats, hogs, chickens and NO, I'm not going to tell ya how many I have either!!!
