Thanks Boleyz , greenmcdonald for you comments.

Boleyz, I understand where you are coming from and I could probably 'Lord' (make one of those head of household proclamations) it over my wife to sell out and move. But knowing my wife this would not be a good decision. I know there is a happy medium here someplace. I have been advised by the good members of this board to take this change slowly, listen to input from wife, and be happy I have a wife willing to compromise with living in the country albeit for half the year. "Where's my club Wilma?"

And Sue, I think that only a small segment of our population has a 'homesteading' mindset. I was going on with my life like normal when all of a sudden a light bulb went off in my dusty head, letting me know that this thin veneer we call society is fragile and full of pitfalls and perils. This was eight years ago and since then I have never been without my buckets of corn and grains. Life is to be enjoyed but do so with caution and foresight.

There are men out there that fit your description of what a mate should be. Just remember it's a small part of our society that would take life as an adventure. Keep looking, Mr. Right is out there.

Again very good comments. I am picking up a lot to good information.
