There's no need to email...just right click on the picture and choose "Save Picture As"...Then download the pic to your desktop or a folder of your choice.

Try it and see if it works...if yo can't get em, I'll be glad to email em.

Talking The suspense!

Boleyz
How'd you know how to build that cabin
without coming on here first, and asking
for directions??

Inquiring minds want to know!

P.S. Is it true your wife did all the real work

Well, I really haven't ever been much of one to ask folks "How"? I kind of jump in and get started and make it up as I go along. Not the best way, and I often have do it over, but at least I'm busy and that's what I need...motion...

To be honest, about all you need is a mitre saw (for square cuts) and a tape measure and a level and a square. I fear some of the advice I get on HT

My wife actually doesn't do anything as far as the construction goes, but she DOES serve in an advisory capacty

The log cabin pics are almost exactly as I picture my dream home.

Thanks for the smile I got reading your post and looking at your great artwork and explanation of what is happening.

Found some Construction pics

I found these on my wife's laptop.

I found some more Actual Construction Pictures of the House for those who are interested:

Building my House and Farm (Pics) - Homesteading Questions

A Lot of Folks have asked about my creekrock fireplace...it is a fake fireplace constructed around a ventless gas log system and firebox. There is no chimney. It's constucted on a cement floor with concrete blocks forming the hearth and all of the "Chimney" portion is plywood over studs and faced with chicken wire to hold the mortar in place. The whole thing was then overlaid with creekrocks. The mantle was mounted to the plywood/studs as well, and then all was covered for the appearance of an actual chimney/mantle.

Great thread!

First I've seen of your work -- art, cabin, home. I must say it is all so lovely. The drawing of you and your wife watching the sunset REALLY does say it all! Sometimes the reality of how good my own life has been to me sets in for a moment and my breath is taken away. I'm startled by my own good fortune. The first words out of my mouth at these moments are, "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

Keep the thread going. It's a really NICE post, and I like that!

Peace and smiles

It sounds like no one has yet told you. Women are "design." Men are "application."

Hope that clears things up for you.

Edited to add: Your place is lovely, the work looks great, and you have a fantastic view

Yeah, reminds me of a small rhyme I heard once:

"My wife submits and I Obey,
And then She lets me have my Way."

We all know who's REALLY in charge of these things...

But yeah, we're happy and blessed.
