cf- bare is right- it's a 6 block high crawl space with the porch on pilings.

and bare, i get two different pics, but still the front of the house.

tp- level land is at a premium around here. we are either on a hillside, or on a creek bank, take our choice.

rt- front door to be forest green, with screen door.

ts1- i'm about 15 miles north of newport, between the nolichucky and french broad rivers.

aaaand... i just got called in for overtime so no more pics til tomorrow. sorry.

thanks for the nice comments everyone. i go back and forth between euphoria and panic. LOL!!

Looks nice so far, what kind of siding are you planning on?
I like the way the porch is on concrete, so many people just set poles in the ground then wonder why the porch sags.

here's a few more....

the first two a views of the back of the house. where there will be a screened porch, meant for sleeping and hopefully a summer kitchen in the future.

the third one shows my neighborhood. please note the lack of neighbors. the barn is to the right, and the double wide i'm in now is further right behind that stand of pines. one thing i'm not too happy about is how the bulldozer guy went crazy clearing everything he could get to, after i told him not to. all that naked ground between the barn and the new house used to be pasture that he scraped off. he did some stuff that made the builder mad too, so he won't be back. someone else will be doing the rest of the grade work and installing septic.

enjoy!! more later...
