Recently I looked at a corn burning stove.
It was nice . . . .I guess . . . .it has issues with its very large electrical use.
They said "the fuel is very cheap" . . . . . .I didn't respond to that statement.

But I shure would question spending the 4 to 5 thousand for a stove that has to have a fuel with such a questionable price tag future.

The price will adjust itself quickly. It doesnt take long to grow a crop of corn, and with higher prices, more people will plant it, which will increase supply and bring prices back down.

And ya the gas mileage is somewhat lower not that much 1 to 2 MPG BUT YOU get MORE Power from E85 so if towing a trailer etc. it is better to go with E85 IF You Can that is. I have a friend that has an 04 Ford Pick Up and that is a Flex Fuel one and now that truck has 75,000 and been on E85 for most of those miles as they pull a 4 horse stock trailer~!
And just the other day I heard a Bio Diesel plant is being built in Southern WI. that is also a good idea, they will be using Soybeans for getting the bio oil from. Lots and lots of soy beans. So there again is a Wonderful chance for the farmers to make more on their beans in the future also~!! Cool....
I think you need to check the energy per gal. of E85 and gasoline. I think you have the power of the 2 reversed.
