The replacemant of a bladder tank is an easy do-it-yourself project that pays good.

Went to Lowes and Home Depot today to price them, $179 to $319, though the one I'm favoring is $289. Major savings. Got a friend who'll help me install it. Anyone have experience with Flo-Tec? I'm favoring it because it has a replaceable bladder. The thought of junking something because one part goes bad really irks me. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks again for all your input!!!!

My submersible well pump is a Flo-Tec and I haven't had any problems with it. They aren't top rate, but they're plenty good for a home water supply. My pressure tank when it went bad sprung a pinhole water leak in it. Same thing happened to my dad. Neither case did the bladder fail. If you're asking for opinions, I would say if the one with the replaceable bladder is significantly higher, just stick with a standard disposable pressure tank. Anyway, congrats on tackling this yourself and saving some major bucks!

Save your money and do not buy the replacemant bladder one. Did you price the replacement bladder? Do you think the bladder will be available when ayou eventually need one, I doubt it.
