Our property is definitely a microclimate. We're situated at the top of the big hill in town but at the bottom of the hill on our road. So we basically have a valley that traps the cooler air funneled down from the road and combines with the lake breezes coming up from below us. It means we have cooler temps here than the rest of town in the summer but worse weather in the winter--lots of snow and drifts when the rest of town is calmer.
