Boiling water will clean the drains of soap and gunk. Don't know if it would affect the hair part or not.

Triana, I don't drink cola either! I am sure it would corrode the metal pipes as well. The Coke syrup corrodes the metal parts in soda machines.

I bought myself a Zip-It at ACE Hardware after reading this post.
