I wear a wide brim straw hat a lot if it's in the summer and hot and sunny out.

I love my Filson Tin Cloth Packer hat. Great for the woods.

I use basicaly three hats:

Summer- A John Deere ball cap, or if I'm doing field work, my tractor cab (a wide brimmed straw hat).

Winter- A wide brimmed felt hat (keeps the rain off)

All three are all good for holding eggs....

In the warm weather a brown cammy John Deere cap. In the cool weather a sorta canvas and leather NRA cap. Hit thirty five last night so it's time to change caps.

If working in the sun then it's a straw ranchers hat.

I usually wear a driving cap, in various incarnations. Cotton for the heat, wool for the cold. When I'm outside working, fishing, or hunting in the warm months I wear a green boonies hat. When it gets real cold I'll either wear a Carhart stocking cap or one made out of polar fleece with a facemask built into it. I shave my head, so I have a hat on just about all the time.
