cat in the hat
Hey,
When I go out in the sun here in Vegas, I wear one of several baseball caps. When I'm working or shooting I wear denim pipefitter hats that the ball and chain sewed up for me.
My grandpa always wore a pillowtick engineer's cap. Will get me one someday.

I have a large variety of baseball type caps- my favorites- one has a very fat palomino pony on it and says, "Life is Good", one with a foal and Kincora Farm on it, my barn hat is black and says, "Barn Bum" In the winter I have several as well, a black fleece Elmer Fudd type with earflaps that can be tied on top, a jester cap type of thing that is black watch plaid with dogs on it that I made for Cadet Kady when she was little (the farrier gets a big kick out of that one), and an "arctic blast" hat that is fur lined and guaranteed to make your head sweat like a sauna unless it's 10 below zero.
I have dress hats as well-- I really like hats.

What's your hat?
When I wear a hat it is usually one of my hand spun, hand knit tams made straight from the goat! When I start acting stupid I say its because of the goat in my hat! Most people don't understand because they don't know mohair comes from a goat or that is what my hat is made of (they look store bought).

Feed hats
My feed dealer provides most of my hats except my straw cowboy hat for haying on sunny days, a toque for snowy work, and a bright orange cap during hunting season. I don't hunt but there are some trigger happy hunters around, and I spend alot of time in the bush.

Always, Always..........
I always, always wear a hat or cap, any time I go outdoors.
I have all manner of Caps & Hats...........
Several are Cami ball caps with Remington on the front, solid for Winter,
net on the back for Summer.
I also have a couple "resistol type" Cowboy hats. I have a nice Stetson.
I have a wool Greek fisherman's Cap. And cotton Dutch boy caps, one
so old the black has faded to a kinda dark purple, looks like a biker-cap.
When I go to town I go "covered".
We had a guy I know get knocked out, out in the woods, by a dead limb that fell, from the wind. Luckily his SiL came by & found him in a short time.
Had a huge lump & couldn't think real straight for a few hours.
It coulda Killed Him.
DSW Sharon made me buy a Hard Hat. And, I gotta Wear it every time I'm
up in the woods. They call those big old dead limbs "Widow makers".
I have seen one or two fall.
I highly recommend Hard hats, if you work out in the woods. Life saver!
Take care.

Right now, it's a toque! Brrrrr. But in warmer weather, I usually wear my Georgian Downs ball-cap.

My grandpa and uncle always wore those.
I wear the typical baseball cap. My present work hat says "Big Mac" and "Shut up and fish"
My going to town cap says Cabela's, and another has the Superman emblem.

I love hats but have so much hair --the hats don't fit correctly and end up blowing off... I have a baseball hat that has John Deere on it and on that says Cabela on it --that I stole from dh...

I wear a plethura of hats.
Work requires we wear one the name brands that we sell, so I wear a Land Rover hat during the day.
Have my Discovery Cycling hat that I wear during the summer and now that fall and hunting is upon us I wear a hat that I just had made up for our hunting crew.
Don't know how to add a pic or I would.
But it says
Near River Camp in stick lettering on the front and on the back it says Suring, WI
Had them embroidered onto Mossy Oak florest floor caps. Looks pretty darn nice.

None until winter, then it's a knit toque, and as it gets colder I add hooded jackets, ski masks, etc, to the mix.
Darn, the way October is going I have to start pulling out the "winter fixin's" early this year!
Oh, and my grampa and uncle wore the engineer caps, too, although now my uncle (quite elderly) has a collection of baseball caps ranging from CAT to NH, to Ford, etc.

I have a blue denim baseball style cap that has the word "Ireland" embroidered in blue. Also have a plain baseball cap, and that one is just about worn out. But if I'm going to wear a hat in the summertime, it's a baseball cap.
In the winter, I wear a stocking cap I sewed myself. Fleece fabric, with cartoon cats on it. It goes with absolutely nothing that I own, but I liked the fabric and I wanted a stocking cap. :P

No hats for me unless my head is cold or it's raining, If my head is cold it's a watch cap. If it's raining it's a bush hat. If it's cold & raining it might be both. I don't wear hats as a fashion statement or to blend in.

ladies straw with fabric tie, or 'mens' straw with leather band/lanyard. keep my girlish skin as long as possible- though the neck where I don't get shade and often have a lower necked shirt l;eaving it uncovered- is pretty leathery

I wore a DeKalb or Texas Longhorn ball cap when I farmed and ranched. Now that I'm retired if I do wear a cap it's either a Carhartt or a VW. But I do have a hat collection and a broad brimmed straw hat to wear when I'm out in the sun alot.
