I am thinking for the potluck I am going to do home made mac and cheese. And to sweet and bargar my 11 yr old son is coming up so your son can hang with him to if he liked. I think it will all be fun and I just hope the rain holds off for this weekend.

We're getting it out of the way today and tomorrow... then smooth sailing. (at least that's what I am praying for!)
And what are you doing up?

My three children will be interested in doing crafts plus our neighbor boy.
Are the ladies still interested in doing the recipe swap? If there are ladies interested, I will participate in that also.

I am definately in for the recipe swap. I'll type up a few of my favorites to bring. You can never have too many new recipes to fall back on!

Are we going to focus on one type of food, or should we just bring a few different recipes?

I agree that would be cool a variety. I dont have many chicken ones. Like I said I concocked alot of stuff so I dont really have a recipe for most of my things. But I would like to be a part of it. And Sweet did you think of anything else you would need help with for the kiddies?

I've got the "turkeys", crayons, some feathers, and some glue. My mind is mush at the moment. What do you think?

ok...just thought of something else.... I'm in charge of "kids day" here at work and have a bunch of "design your own cards" left over. Do you think the kids would like this also? They're pretty much blank small greeting type cards (and envelopes) and they can draw or decorate them any way they please. Maybe they can make their own Thanksgiving or Christmas cards for their moms & dads... hmmmmm.... whatcha think?
I have a couple other crafty things leftover as well but not in large quantites. They might have to do rock paper scissors over who gets to do what.

Not to be silly but would not emailing each other recipes be "easier" and one less thing to keep track of at the get together and one less thing to loose? Copy and past or fowarding several people on your list would be cheaper than printing them out to... Just a thought from an outsider...

C'mon Paul, you know most of the fun isn't the actual exchange of recipes as much as the chit chat that happens during it.

So sit around the fire and get yer favorite hot beverage and chit chat....
I guess I can add that to the long list of things I don't quite understand and that don't quite make sense to me about women

Hi all! I already made my recipe handout (remember the type-A post?...yeah). I included one main dish, one salad and one dessert. I like variety too, and can't wait to see everyones recipes! Do you think the kids would like to do an egg and spoon race? We have eggs aplenty around here right now, so I could bring some extras and plastic spoons. Sweetcountrygirl, your crafts sound great! I would even have fun making cards. For my "demonstration" I just made up a recipe book of homemade skin care stuff, and I'm making samples for anyone who wants them. I figured that would be easier than lugging along all of my supplies, and trying to whip things up outdoors. We are so excited to come and meet everyone!
Bob and Amy, what is the best time to come? Would 5 or 6 o'clock be too early?

Hey All,
Just wanted to note that I will be bringing a small bag of boy's clothes to give away in case any of you are interested. There is a winter coat, snow pants, and several shirts and sweatshirts. Most of them are size 4-5. I'll look around to see if there are any shoes and boots that need to be passed along also.
