Have not gotten a yea or ney on the 'homemade juice' yet.
What say the powers to be?
May others could also bring for a tasting for those who are interested.
Let me know one way or the other.

Guess that's just as well as "curblawn" or some such thing... LOL. I lived there when I went to college.

I sent doc a PM, but I will post what I did there.

For religious reasons we don't drink. Now it's a personal thing for us, if you drink, I am not condemning you, but I would ask if anyone is planning on bringing juice for the purpose of exchanging that you be discreet with your exchange. There will be many people from many walks of life and I am sure we can all have a good time together!

It would be a very good idea not to go there. You have made questionable statements regarding J's appearance in the past which are inappropriate and as her boyfriend I am going to tell you to keep your comments regarding Jen to yourself.

Thanks Bargar Love you

I agree with him, it was inappropriate to make comments. I'm sure you'd understand if someone made comments of any kind regarding your signficant others' appearance it would displease you as well. Especially compairing me to someone of such questionable character. We asked you last time you did it to not go there so I was pretty upset to see you had to go there again. This is the LAST I want to hear from you TP regarding the subject. End of story. Thank you.

Sounds like ya'll have the making for another nice turn out ...

Not to thread drift...okay to thread drift would be more honest -- I'm really curious about how the shoulder of the road came to be called "the Devil Strip".

Thanks,
Marlene

No idea about the Devil Strip thing Marlene! I've never heard of it myself.

Bob and Amy, whenever you think of any extras you need...chairs, folding tables, whatever, let us know. The coming weekend will be hectic here, so we will be gathering a few things everyday as we think about it to avoid a last minute scramble, and would be happy to bring anything we can.

Hello all, preparations are slowly moving along and include new gravel down the old path to the camping area. Lots of broken up concrete from a drive way (hey we were driving by and asked them what they were going to do with it you know???) has been moved into the infamous "BLACK HOLE of MEDINA" that connects my two fields. I would say it's swallowed up about 10 ton of large broken up concrete pieces. Now perhaps a little more gravel on top and it will stabilize! But don't worry. The "BLACK HOLE" is further back than we are going to be camping, so you won't have to drive over it!

But I was thinking... anyone who knows what Western Medina well water is like will want to bring their own drinking water, we will be getting water out of the back hydrant and it's certainly not treated or filtered. It's drinkable, but you better like hard, iron filled water if'n your wanting to drink it.

So let's recap, shall we?

Bring:
Tables (if you got 'em)
camping stuff
Chairs for around the ol' fires
water for drinking.
whatever else you are bringing!

Gotcha Bob! Will you be pm'ing us directions some time next week? We will still bring our own water, but it sounds like our untreated water is just like yours. Everyone in Portage county is a redhead, whether they were born that way or not!

I LOVE IT!!! I can totally relate! Grew up in Medina Twp near Granger and we had the same problem. My blonde hair took a beating. I'd have to go once a month and get a treatment on my hair to strip the orange/red off. And FORGET buying any white clothes. They stayed white for about one washing and went down hill from there. Keep in mind also it was STILL that bad even having a salt water softner system and a zillion added treatments.

So Bob,
How many and who - not that it matters as all wil have a good time.
Do you need any thing specific? (other than the table and chairs).
I hope the weather is good.
What kind of covered dish would anyone recommend - so that we don't end up with 14 dishes of tuna fish death.
How about some fresh road kill or buzzard's breath chilli?

Do we have a current head count or does the last one still stand? I'm making some little herbal bath goodies for the ladies, plus a game for the kids, so an approximate number of people would be great.

Also, I hate to bring up a delicate subject, but what is the restroom situation? My husband said that if you all are considering renting a port-a-potty, we would be happy to contribute toward the rental.

One other question: should we bring firewood?

Is that a trick question? No campout is complete without a campfire. A good homesteader is always prepared.
