Jan, Punkin was a she... Thanks to all for your nice comments... I bought my laptop with the intention of setting myself up a web site to sell pics.... It's what I want to do instead of work for someone else forever.....
Aedman, thanks, if I had more time, I have about a half dozen albums, and boxes of pics that I would like to get scanned in...I've been a photographer since way before the digital age, so most of my pics are film, and in spite of digital being so cool, I still love my film.............probably always will....
Doohap, I too think that un manipulated is best, unfortunately, the industry doesn't agree.....and it's really hard sometimes to tell the un from the manipulated....
Moonwolf, that ice covered leaf was perpidicular to the ground, which is why I personally found it SO amazing!! I don't know how that brittle, brown leaf heald all that heavy ice. I also like that way you can see the reflection of the sky in the ice....
Boxwoods, I don't have too many talents that I will go toe to toe with any one else with, but with my pics I will........ I had a professional, very famous nature photographer[George Lepp] tell me one time that the eyes are the single most important tool a photographer possesses....he said that you can take great photographs with a point and shoot....or you can take pictures[he explored the difference, too long for here...] with expensive cameras....

Wonderful pictures. So glad you shared them with us. You have a good Eye for taking shots that really stand out.
I have a Minolta X-700 that I play with a lot, but never can get that correct picture. I have a Sony digital and can't seem to get it to do what I want either.

All I can do is think, "oh, WOW!!!" Your photos are so beautiful, they bring tears to my eyes! What a gift you have!!!
Thank you so much for sharing!
You could publish a coffee table book of those... or sell them for framing... or...
Oh, WOW....

Being new to this forum,I don't know any of you yet,but hope to soon. This is the first thing I saw this morning and all I can say is a big "WOW"!What beauty and what talent to save it to share with us.The one of the ice storm made me cry.I live in NC,but was born and raised in the Hocking Hills of Ohio. That picture made me so homesick. We don't have a lot of snow or ice around here and I have never gotten used to that aspect of living in the south, even tho most of my adult life has been spent here.It wasn't so much the pic itself that made me cry,it was what you said about it....."I was stuck at my sister's".That would be such a lovely thing to have happen. If I get stuck anywhere it is somewhere like work.It would be a wonder to be stuck at my sister's and be able to grab a cup of tea and have a great gab session.By the way Fordy,I love Akitas and when I saw Punkin,Akita was the first thing that popped into my mind.Used to have a male and Punkin looks like she could be closely related to him.Keep up the good work MTNwoman........you are going places.

Wc's ladybug, when I said I got stuck at my sisters', I didn't mean it in a negative way... I have a four year old nephew that I get to spoil, so I always enjoy spending time there. I meant stuck as in couldn't go any where.......... Plus, she cooks for me, she thinks I don't get enough home cooking[which I dont' btw]
Pony, my photos are always for sale...am currently trying to figure out the best way to make up a web site to start doing just that. I'm tired of working for others.....
Fordy, Punkin was not the most feminine dog in the world... She had the rott head, I think, but everything else was chow, including the black/purple tongue....She won't ever be back though, as it's been years since she disappeared.........which really bites....
BeeFree, I just started taking photos as a young girl, and have only gotten more obsessed with it as I get older!! I really would like to publish a book, but have NO idea how to even start....

Of course I knew what you meant.I meant I am so jealous of anyone who can even go to their sister's.Lost two in just a few years.Life is so busy,I don't even get "home" once a year,so very seldom see any of my family.Cherish those moments,as I am sure you do.All my neices and nephews got grown before I could even get to know them.
If you ever do get a book done of your pictures,I would buy one for me and more for gifts. Can you submit them to magazines just to get them out there? You have a unique style and soon people would begin to recognize your work as yours and beg for more.

Thank you all for your wonderful encouragement. Believe me, I would SO love to do a book.... Soon I hope....would also love to get a website up and running[Dennis???] so that I could sell them.....When I get a book done, I will sure let ya'll know...after all, you guys helped encourage me!!!
Vera, that oak leaf to me is SO amazing! It was perpindicular to the ground, and the ice looked so heavy....I love the sky highlights as well....but, I'm also kinda partial to the frost flowers....I guess cause most folks would not even notice them...I didn't for a long time....
WC's ladybug...sorry that you have lost sisters. My family and I aren't really close, except for me and my sister, and a couple of cousins....I have friends that are closer than some of my blood relatives....
I am going to try and post some of a fawn that I took yesterday....these amazed me so much...
