The oil companies are trying to manipulate public opinion so that the November election will swing their way.

Lowest around here is 2.69 a gallon at Cumberland Farms. I hope it keeps on dropping.

We're not dropping that fast; still hovering around $3 here. Found it for $2.91 yesterday, but I'd just filled up the day before at $3.03.

I may move to where gas is "only" $2.19 -- luxury!

Cyndi, I filled up in Rock Falls just before leaving the day after your July get togther. It was something like .20 cheaper then, compared to what I pay up here. Just today, I've seen it as low as $2.68, though most stations have it at $2.69. Again, Green Bay is probably around $2.53 or so. One nice thing though, most of our gas up here is just that...gasoline.

Dave - I'm shocked when I come to Freeport (~50 miles north of where I live) and the gas is still $2.78 today ... and that's down from yesterday!!!

That's what it is here right now ..$2.47 a gallon.

One month ago ..on August 6 ..I paid $3.19 a gallon. ..That is 72 cents more than it is now...AND I'M NOT TOO PLEASED ABOUT IT. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THE PROBLEM WITH THOSE GAS COMPANIES ANYWAY? WHAT MAKES THEM THINK THEY CAN LOWER THE PRICE BY 70 cents AND GET AWAY WITH IT?
ITS RIDICULOUS!
