It sure favors what we saw dead in the middle of the road on Monday of this week. We were traveling in the Mark Twain Nat Forest on a hwy that isn't used much and came upon a black animal in the middle of the road. I said was that a baby cub bear. We had already passed it, so turned around and drove back. It was an ugly dog, that someone had shot between the eyes and was decomposing. I would have taken a picture but it was so stinky.
Running upon it at 55mph it sure favored a baby bear. It was solid black and furry. Sure looked like this one.
